Monthly average daily diffuse solar radiation in Poland within the period 2005–2015
In this paper an 11-year series of daily values of diffuse solar radiation registered at 8 actinometric stations in Poland was used to describe the characteristics of diffuse radiation and diffuse fraction of global radiation for the area of Poland ...

Computation of Solar Radiation on Horizontal Surface Over Some Iraqi Cities [PDF]
In this study a simple correlation is developed to predict monthly average daily global solar radiation on a horizontal surfaces for different Iraqi locations.

An examination of the intensity, energy spectrum, and spatial distribution of the diffuse gamma-radiation observed by SAS-2 satellite away from the galactic plane in the energy range above 35 MeV has shown that it consists of two components. One component is generally correlated with galactic latitudes, the atomic hydrogen column density was deduced ...

Diffusion weighted imaging in radiation necrosis [PDF]
This case report suggests that magnetic resonance imaging with diffusion weighted imaging may help distinguish between tumour recurrence and radiation induced necrosis in patients previously treated for a brain tumour.

Diffuse radiation in the Galaxy
Observations have been obtained to verify the existence of diffuse interstellar radiation. A Fabry photometer, attached to the 40-inch refractor at the Yerkes Observatory, was used to measure the the brightness of regions over a wide range of galactic latitude.

The Effect of Collector Shading and Masking on Optimized PV Field Designs
Photovoltaic (PV) solar fields are deployed with multiple rows. The second and subsequent rows are subject to shading and masking by the rows in front. The direct beam incident radiation on the second row is affected by shading and the diffuse incident ...

Parareal Thermal Radiation Diffusion
This article describes a parallel-in-time implementation of a thermal radiation diffusion code using the Parareal methodology. This work builds on previous Parareal diffusion research by demonstrating that the Parareal method can also work well for diffusion problems with non-linear coupling, as thermal radiation does to material energy.

Anisotropic Diffuse Radiation Model of Photovoltaic Systems Deployed near Walls
The deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops in urban environments is to reduce land area required for electricity generation. These deployments may encounter shading and masking on the PV collectors from surrounding building walls, thus

Most atmospheric models consider radiative transfer only in the vertical direction (1D), as 3D radiative transfer calculations are too costly. Thereby, horizontal transfer of radiation is omitted, resulting in incorrect surface radiation fields.
