A standardized breath holding technique for the clinical measurement of the diffusing capacity of the lung for carbon monoxide.

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Investigation, 1957
Previous publications from this laboratory have described (1, 2) a modification of the Krogh breath holding technique for measuring the pulmonary diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DL) .6 This test can be performed quickly and simply and does not ...

Classification of acute myeloid leukemia based on multi‐omics and prognosis prediction value

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Unsupervised AML Multi‐Omics Classification System (UAMOCS) integrates genomic, methylation, and transcriptomic data to categorize AML patients into three subtypes (UAMOCS1‐3). This classification reveals clinical relevance, highlighting immune and chromosomal characteristics, prognosis, and therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Investigation of the Uniformity of Gel Shrinkage by Imaging Tracer Particles Using X‐Ray Microtomography

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView., 2023
A novel method for tracking structural changes in gels using widely accessible microcomputed tomography is presented and validated for various hydro‐, alco‐, and aerogels. The core idea of the method is to track positions of micrometer‐sized tracer particles entrapped in the gel and relate them to the density of the gel network.

Elucidating prognostic significance of purine metabolism in colorectal cancer through integrating data from transcriptomic, immunohistochemical, and single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

Impact of Long COVID on Lung Function in Children

open access: yesMedeniyet Medical Journal
Objective: While the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has generally resulted in milder illness among children than adults, persistent respiratory symptoms have been increasingly reported in this population. Methods: We conducted a prospective,

La télévision locale comme outil au service du développement durable: l’expérience Rhizome

open access: yesNetcom, 2008
This article identifies the role of a local television regarding sustainable development. Limits are less due to technical barriers than to the capacity of local leaders to recognize the necessity of organising, sharing and diffusing useful information ...

Twin Boundaries and Heat Capacity of a Crystal [PDF]

open access: yesTech.Phys.Let., 2005, Vol.31, No.3, pp.247-248, 2005
The influence of twin boundaries on the heat capacity and diffuse scattering in a crystal is described within the framework of a macroscopic dynamic theory.

Escape from TGF‐β‐induced senescence promotes aggressive hallmarks in epithelial hepatocellular carcinoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.
