Fluctuations and scaling in models for particle aggregation
We consider two sequential models of deposition and aggregation for particles. The first model (No Diffusion) simulates surface diffusion through a deterministic capture area, while the second (Sequential Diffusion) allows the atoms to diffuse up to \ell

Diffusion-Reorganized Aggregates: Attractors in Diffusion Processes?
A process based on particle evaporation, diffusion and redeposition is applied iteratively to a two-dimensional object of arbitrary shape. The evolution spontaneously transforms the object morphology, converging to branched structures.

Understanding Anomalous Transport in Intermittent Maps: From Continuous Time Random Walks to Fractals [PDF]
We show that the generalized diffusion coefficient of a subdiffusive intermittent map is a fractal function of control parameters. A modified continuous time random walk theory yields its coarse functional form and correctly describes a dynamical phase ...

Fractional diffusion modeling of ion channel gating [PDF]
An anomalous diffusion model for ion channel gating is put forward. This scheme is able to describe non-exponential, power-law like distributions of residence time intervals in several types of ion channels.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
