Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

A simple and efficient error-diffusion algorithm [PDF]
In this contribution, we introduce a new error-diffusion scheme that produces higher quality results. The algorithm is faster than the universally used Floyd-Steinberg algorithm, while maintaining its original simplicity. The efficiency of our algorithm is based on a deliberately restricted choice of the distribution coefficients.

Circulating microRNA profiles distinguish nonmalignant Lynch syndrome from cancer‐associated Lynch syndrome, sporadic colorectal cancer, and healthy controls. Age‐stratified analysis reveals disease‐specific regulatory states, and a six‐miRNA panel shows concordant separation in an independent colorectal tissue cohort.

Probability tree algorithm for general diffusion processes [PDF]
Motivated by path-integral numerical solutions of diffusion processes, PATHINT, we present a new tree algorithm, PATHTREE, which permits extremely fast accurate computation of probability distributions of a large class of general nonlinear diffusion processes.

Biophysical characterisation shows that NanX, a membrane transport protein from the major facilitator superfamily (MFS), forms both monomers and dimers after purification. AlphaFold modelling and substrate docking provide information on residues likely involved in substrate recognition for NanX and another MFS member, NanT.

AN INVERSE MOISTURE DIFFUSION ALGORITHM FOR THE DETERMINATION OF DIFFUSION COEFFICIENT [PDF]
The finite difference approximation is applied to estimate the moisture-dependent diffusion coefficient by utilizing test data of isothermal moisture desorption in northern red oak (Quercus rubra). The test data contain moisture distributions at discrete locations across the thickness of specimens, which coincides with the radial direction of northern ...

Diffusion Parameters Analysis in a Content-Based Image Retrieval Task for Mobile Vision
Most recent computer vision tasks take into account the distribution of image features to obtain more powerful models and better performance. One of the most commonly used techniques to this purpose is the diffusion algorithm, which fuses manifold data ...

An image encryption algorithm based on cascade chaotic map and DNA coding
The 2D‐Cascade‐Transeform‐Logistic‐Sine Map (2D‐CTLSM) with good randomness and large parameter chaos range is obtained by improving the Logistic and Sine map in a cascade manner.
