Diffusion coefficients of retinoids

Current Eye Research, 2002
Diffusion coefficients of various retinoids have not been measured previously. It is important to know the diffusion coefficients of the retinoids because this property might be rate-limiting in dark adaptation. Also, retinoid diffusion is important to explore given that rhodopsin regeneration is not impaired in IRBP knockout mice.Measurements of ...

The diffusion coefficient of haemoglobin

Respiration Physiology, 1966
Abstract In 33 g % haemoglobin solutions containing the stromata of the red cells, diffusion of haemoglobin and methaemoglobin could be observed. The values of the diffusion coefficients were determined by using two methods, with a diffusion chamber (modified after Cohen and Bruins, 1923) and with filters (Millipore membranes).

Diffusion coefficient in photon diffusion theory

Optics Letters, 2000
The choice of the diffusion coefficient to be used in photon diffusion theory has been a subject of discussion in recent publications on tissue optics. We compared several diffusion coefficients with the apparent diffusion coefficient from the more fundamental transport theory, D(app).

Determination of thermal diffusion coefficient and diffusion coefficient

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1977
Abstract A new technique is described to determine the thermal diffusion coefficient, D', and the difusion, D, of Fe, Si and Al in liquid Mg. This technique is based on a boundary condition, formulated by including contributions of temperature and cocentration gradients in the liquid to the advancing solid-liquid interface during unidirectional ...
