Investigation of differential diffusion in lean, premixed, hydrogen-enriched swirl flames
Hydrogen combustion is a promising alternative to fossil fuel combustion in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint. However, hydrogen combustion is prone to thermodiffusive instabilities largely dependent on differential diffusion, a phenomenon that ...

On the Noise of Diffusion Flames
The mechanism of the generation and the characteristics of the noise associated with combustion are studied. It is shown that the dominant factors on the generation of the combustion noise are the velocity turbulences and the entropy turbulences, acting as equivalent acoustic dipoles and monopoles, respectively.
