Lamellar-zeolitic transformations mediated by diffusionless and recrystallization mechanisms

Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2021
Abstract The interzeolitic conversions can be divided according to the mechanisms that govern them: competing phases, intergrowth, recrystallization and diffusionless (reconstructive and topotactic). Lamellar silicates have been used as precursors in these transformations, since they share many similarities with zeolites and can also perform a bulky ...

Diffusionless phase transformations of Ru2Si3, Ru2Ge3 and Ru2Sn3

Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1975
Abstract The series of Ru 2 Ge 3− x Sn x and Ru 2 Ge 3− y Si y compounds (0 ≤ x , y ≤ 3) were investigated using electrical resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Except for the tin-rich compounds ( x > 2) which are metallic, they are semiconducting of type n and are diamagnetic. The forbidden energy gaps for Ru 2 Si 3

Diffusionless FCC to BCC phase transformation in CoCrCuFeNi MPEA thin films

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2021
Abstract The aim of the present work is growing CoCrCuFeNi HEA thin films of 40–50 nm thickness and annealing them in-situ in the electron microscope for a better understanding and controlling the early stages of phase and compositional instability of as deposited films at temperatures up to 550 °C.

The founder of the theory of diffusionless (martensite) transformations in metallic alloys

Metal Science and Heat Treatment, 1997
In February 1997 G. V. Kurdyumov is to celebrate his 95th birthday. Doing justice to this wonderful scientist, we publish an article by his disciples (colleagues at the Bardin Central Research Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy) devoted to his achievements in the field of martensite transformations.

Diffusionless omega transformations in quenched and pressurized ZrMo alloys

Acta Metallurgica, 1983
Abstract Metastable structures formed in ZrMo alloys on quenching and following high pressure application were studied by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray phase analysis. New structures consisting of a mixture of α phase and ω phase originating in α [i.e. ω(α)] were observed.

Diffusionless Phase Transformations in Zirconia and Hafnia

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1963
A study, by high‐temperature diffractometry, of the monoclinic‐tetragonal phase changes in pure ZrO 2 and HfO 2 disclosed that the hysteresis loops associated with the transformations have similar shapes which are typical of many martensitic phase ...

Methods for the determination of diffusionless transformation conditions from atomistic simulations

Modelling and Simulation in Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
Abstract The phase transition process between solid phases plays a critical role in defining the microstructural characteristics of many metals and alloys. Therefore, accurate reproduction of phase transformations enables significant predictive abilities in material modeling which cannot be otherwise achieved.

Diffusionless transformation in iron-nickel, iron-chromium and iron-silicon alloys

Acta Metallurgica, 1962
Abstract The gamma to alpha transformation in iron-nickel (0–15 at.% nickel), iron-chromium (0–10 at.% chromium) and iron-silicon (0–2.7 at.% silicon) alloys has been measured as a function of the cooling rate. The rate required to produce maximum undercooling in the different alloys is compared.
