Age‐Inclusive HR Practices as Resource Passageways: Explaining Retirement Intentions Through Employability and Job Insecurity

open access: yesHuman Resource Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To decide about retirement, employees assess and react to their work environment, including age‐inclusive HR practices. Age‐inclusive HR practices ensure equal access to key HR functions for all employees—regardless of age, for example, training and development for all age groups, unlike age‐specific HR practices, which target older workers ...

Polygenic risk score and prostate specific antigen predict death from prostate cancer in men with intermediate aggressive cancer

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? Using 21 SNPs, two novel PRS were constructed and used to develop two new machine‐learning classifiers, one for the detection of prostate cancer and the other for the prediction of its aggressiveness and subsequent mortality. The classifier for disease detection is built using the PRS as the sole feature, whereas the one for disease ...

Outcomes and risk factors of hemorrhage in patients with resected brain metastases

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? Brain metastases may present with hemorrhage, yet risk factors and clinical outcomes remain unclear. Based on a cohort of 880 patients with resected brain metastases, this study identified tumor volume and primary tumor histology (melanoma and non‐small cell lung cancer) as key predictors of hemorrhage.

Distribution and prognostic value of T‐cells in primary colorectal cancer and adjacent non‐tumor mucosa in stage IV versus stage I–III patients

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, EarlyView.
What's New? While colonic mucosa lymphocytes have been quantified in the context of inflammatory diseases, T‐cells in non‐tumor mucosa adjacent to colorectal cancer remain understudied. This study found that in stage IV colorectal cancer (synchronous liver metastasis), higher Foxp3+ T‐cell density and Foxp3+/CD4+ and Foxp3+/CD8+ T‐cell ratios in non ...

Do Big Data Applications and Financial Innovation Lead to Enhanced Banking Performance? Evidence From the United Kingdom

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Big data and financial innovations are vital to enhancing the performance of banking institutions. However, limited evidence exists on the effects of big data applications and financial innovation on bank performance. This study addresses this gap by constructing a theoretical framework linking big data applications and financial innovations ...
