Spatial sensitivity synthesis based on alternate projection for the machine‐learning‐based coding digital receiving array

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 18, Issue 9, Page 1474-1480, September 2024.
The spatial sensitivity of a machine‐learning‐based coding digital receiving array (ML‐CDRA) is studied which describes the spatial accumulation gain in different directions. It is demonstrated that spatial sensitivity is determined by the encoding network, decoding network, and beamforming criterion.

CG‐FlexBeamOpt: Advanced solution methodology for high throughput GEO satellite beam laydown and resource allocation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, Volume 42, Issue 4, Page 286-312, July/August 2024.
This paper presents solution techniques that find beam patterns and frequency allocation for GEO high‐throughput satellites and maximize the total demand met across all users. An integer program is used to select an optimal set of beams from a pool of candidate beams generated by our new algorithms.
