Biomarkers for Pre-Treatment Risk Stratification of Prostate Cancer Patients: A Systematic Review

open access: yes
Background: Prostate cancer (PCa) is one of the most frequently occurring malignancies. Although most cases are not life-threatening, approximately 20% endure an unfavorable outcome.

tRNA-Derived Fragments as Biomarkers in Bladder Cancer

open access: yes
Bladder cancer (BC) diagnosis is reliant on cystoscopy, an invasive procedure associated with urinary tract infections. This has sparked interest in identifying noninvasive biomarkers in body fluids such as blood and urine.

Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

RPLP2 Mediates the Beneficial Effects of Exercise on Stress Resistance Through Muscle–Brain Communication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel exercise‐inducible myokine acidic ribosomal protein P2 (RPLP2), initially identified from human trials, is presented here, whose circulating levels negatively correlate with clinical anxiety severity. Muscle‐derived RPLP2 enhances hippocampal ribosomal assembly and adult neurogenesis to rescue stress‐induced anxiety deficits.

Combining Classic and Novel Neutrophil-Related Biomarkers to Identify Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yes
Background: Recent studies have revealed that neutrophils play a crucial role in cancer progression. This study aimed to explore the diagnostic value of neutrophil-related biomarkers for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Multi‐Omics Profiling of High‐Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer Reveals an Inflammation‐Related Lipid Metabolism Subtype Associated With Platinum Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through integrated proteomic and metabolomic profiling, Zhao et al. identified three molecular subtypes of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer. The high‐risk subtype exhibits activated arachidonic acid metabolism and cyclooxygenase‐2 overexpression. This metabolic axis promotes M2‐like macrophage infiltration, which contributes to platinum resistance ...

Histone H3K18 Lactylation Promotes the Malignant Progression of Wilms Tumor via a PSRC1/AKT/HIF‐1α Positive Feedback Loop

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In nephroblastoma, aberrant glycolysis drives lactate accumulation, which elevates histone H3K18 lactylation via p300. Lactylation of the PSRC1 promoter activates its transcription. PSRC1 competitively binds AKT, relieving PTEN‐mediated inhibition and triggering AKT/mTOR/HIF‐1α signaling.
