Digital logic circuits

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1989
Recent progress in Josephson digital logic circuits is described. It is noted that changing the junction material from a lead alloy to niobium has dramatically improved process reliability, and that high-speed, low-power operations have been demonstrated at large-scale integrated-circuit levels.

Digital circuit techniques for mixed analog/digital circuits applications

Proceedings of Third International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems, 2002
This paper presents a detailed analysis of CSL (Current Steering Logic) and compares its characteristics with FSCL (Folded Source Coupled Logic), two logic families intended to be applied in mixed-mode CMOS circuits. These logic families generate small current spikes compared to the CMOS static family.

Evolution of digital circuits

Proceedings of the 13th annual conference companion on Genetic and evolutionary computation, 2011
Since the early 1990's researchers have begun to apply evolutionary algorithms to design electronic circuits. Nowadays it is evident that the evolutionary design approach can automatically create efficient electronic circuits in many domains. This tutorial surveys fundamental concepts of evolutionary circuit design.

Digitally assisted analog circuits

2005 IEEE Hot Chips XVII Symposium (HCS), 2005
Today's interfaces between digital and "real world" analog signals rely mainly on complex analog circuit components that strictly limit achievable power efficiency and throughput. Digitally assisted analog circuits can exploit digital circuits' high density and low energy per computation to enable a new generation of interface electronics based on ...

Transformational design of digital circuits

Microprocessing and Microprogramming, 1989
Abstract This paper presents a design mechanism based on the algebraic transformation of digital circuit descriptions expressed in a functional language. The functional language is Glass , developed in the context of the Esprit 881 project Forfun .

Circuits for digital signal processing

ICASSP '84. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
This paper discusses two custom integrated circuits designed to perform the functions of signal correlation and lattice filtering (MA or AR). Each circuit is decomposed into P operators, each being a direct implementation of the equations. To allow concurrent use of an arbitrary number of operators and to simplify inter-module connections (both within ...
