Digital Image Correlation technique applied to mechanical characterisation of aluminium foam
In this paper the possibility to employ the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique for the mechanical behaviour analysis of metallic foam was investigated. Image Correlation allowed to measure displacement and strain fields on closed and open cells

Inspired by the multi‐tissue architecture of the human fingertip dermis (A), this work introduces a mixture design using three PolyJet materials (AC/TM/GM) to expand the achievable elastomer property space (B). An inverse design pipeline (i‐Tac) is developed to map target optical/mechanical requirements to optimal material compositions (C), enabling ...

DICLab2D: An open-source digital image correlation algorithm for Julia language
This work presents DICLab2D, an open-source digital image correlation (DIC) algorithm developed in the Julia programming language. DICLab2D is a local subset-based 2D DIC code that employs both the inverse compositional Gauss-Newton (IC-GN) and the ...

Objective The extent of neuronal loss in Parkinson's disease (PD) and the pathogenic processes underlying neuronal dysfunction and loss remain poorly understood. Here, we analyzed the expression of key molecules representing different cell death signaling pathways and their association with Lewy pathology, dopaminergic (DA) neuron loss and stage of PD ...

Uniaxial Static Stress Estimation for Concrete Structures Using Digital Image Correlation
This paper proposes a static stress estimation method for concrete structures, using the stress relaxation method (SRM) in conjunction with digital image correlation (DIC). The proposed method initially requires a small hole to be drilled in the concrete

C‐Terminal Nucleobase Modification Amplifies Peptide‐Mediated Liposome Fusion
Let's come together right now. Cationic peptides are known to promote aggregation of negatively charged liposomes through electrostatic interaction. The process is reversible: once neutrality is achieved, liposomes disaggregate. Here, we demonstrate that end‐capping peptides with nucleobases turns the process into irreversible fusion.

Strain Accumulation in TiAl Intermetallics via High-resolution Digital Image Correlation (DIC)
AbstractNovel manufacturing process are more and more used to produce advanced structural materials such as the gamma titanium aluminide alloys (γ-TiAl). In this work we examine a Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb alloy obtained with an additive manufacturing technique by Electron Beam Melting (EBM) by conducting monotonic and cyclic loading experiments both on tension ...

The spiral conical perforations generated during methane in situ explosion fracturing operations lead to tensile fracture propagation in shale reservoirs being governed by the combined effects of impact pressure, bedding, and aperture under explosive loading. Using multiple regression analysis and digital image correlation technology, the mechanisms of
