Classification of Digital Modulations Using MCMC Methods
Monte Carlo Methods and Applications, 2001This paper presents a simulation study of the Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) technique applied to classification of digital modulations. The latter problem consists of determining the underlying symbol constellation of transmitted signals from observed noisy measurements.

A digital modulation recognition method
2004 International Conference on Communications, Circuits and Systems (IEEE Cat. No.04EX914), 2004A method using a specific signal envelope feature, J, is proposed for the modulation recognition of ASK, QAM, PSK, and FSK signals. The advantages of this method lie in its computational simplicity, no need for prior-knowledge of the signal to be recognized, and good noise suppression capability.

Digital method of SSB modulation
Computational Problems of Electrical Engineering, 2017This paper is dedicated to modeling of the digital method of single-sideband (SSB) modulation. Digital method of SSB modulation provided in this paper is based on Weaver`s method of SSB modulation. The design and calculations of digital blocks are detailed. Such a model allows obtaining the output SSB signal in time and frequency domains at given input

Digital Bandpass Modulation Methods
2021Abstract This chapter presents mathematical models of baseband and bandpass digital communication systems based on binary and quaternary phase-shift keying, frequency-shift keying, and quadrature amplitude modulation. The systems are deduced as special cases from the general generic system structure and the related theory of orthonormal ...

A Novel Method of Modulation Classification for Digital Signals
The 2006 IEEE International Joint Conference on Neural Network Proceedings, 2006This paper introduces a novel method of modulation classification for digitally modulated signals in the presence of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). This method does not need any prior knowledge of the signals, such as SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio), symbol rate and carrier frequency.

Spectra of Digital Phase Modulation by Matrix Methods
Bell System Technical Journal, 1974We derive the spectral density of a sinusoidal carrier phase modulated by a random baseband pulse train in which the signaling pulse duration is finite and the signaling pulses may have different shapes. The spectral density is expressed as a compact Hermitian form in which the Hermitian matrix is a function of only the symbol probability distribution,

A new method of modulation classification for digitally modulated signals
MILCOM 92 Conference Record, 2003A modulation model representation of a signal is used to provide a convenient form for subsequent analysis. The modulation model is formed by estimating the instantaneous frequency and bandwidth using autoregressive spectrum analysis. In particular, the instantaneous bandwidth and derivative of the instantaneous frequency prove to be valuable ...

A Review of Design Methods for Digital Modulators
2007 International Symposium on Integrated Circuits, 2007One of the main components in a digital class D amplifier is the digital modulator. This modulator is necessary so that an N-bit digital input can be converted into 1-bit modulated pulses, which in turn are used for high efficiency operation in the output stage of the class D amplifier.
