Digital coding metamaterials with multi-modulation schemes and beam steering for intra-chip millimeter-wave connectivity

open access: yesScientific Reports
In modern wireless communication systems, data transmission is achieved through the collaboration of digital modulation circuits and antennas. Digital baseband signals are first modulated in terms of amplitude, frequency, and phase of the carrier wave ...

Generation of signals with prescribed spectral characteristics

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Аэрокосмическая техника, технологии и машиностроение, 2016
The main causes of undesirable changes in signal frequency-amplitude characteristics at the output of modern generators are stated in the paper. A functional scheme of the waveform generator is presented. The generator is constructed with the use of home-

Subset Optimization of Adaptive Coding and Modulation Schemes for Broadband Satellite Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The number of Coding and Modulation Schemes suggested for the two standards DVB-S2 and DVB-RCS (in its "advanced" version) is clearly overdimensioned; a subset of schemes can be used by reducing the overall system performance negligibly.

Fabrication Routes for Ionic Conducting Fiber Strain Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ionic conducting fiber strain sensors (ICFSs) offer compliant, textile‐integrable sensing. Thus far, the commercialization of ICFSs has been constrained by fiber fabrication routes. This review provides a fabrication‐centric analysis of ICFSs correlating processing strategies with material properties and scalability.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Digital image watermarking based on angle quantization in discrete contourlet transform

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2017
A robust and transparent watermarking scheme based on contourlet transform and quantization index modulation is proposed in this paper. In proposal algorithm, after taking contourlet, the coefficients are divided into three quadrants by using the ...

Wearable Smart Patches on Sustainable Chitosan With Reversible Microbial Growth‐Inhibitory Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.
