Digital reconstruction of nonlinear beam propagation
2008 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2008We extend the technique of digital holography to the case of propagation through nonlinear media. We experimentally verify the technique by reconstructing nonlinear wave dynamics within a self-defocusing medium and nonlinearly imaging through it.

Digital Reconstruction of large horizontal parallax digital holograms
Imaging and Applied Optics Congress, 2020An Angular Spectrum-based method that allows for reconstruction of digital holograms having large horizontal parallax is developed. It has high efficiency of calculations in terms of speed and memory used. Experimental verification is provided.

Digital Outcrop Model Reconstruction and Interpretation
2022Collecting quantitative and extensive datasets in the field is fundamental in structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology, rock mechanics, and in other fields of the Earth and planetary sciences. Digital Outcrop Models (DOMs) provide a 3D framework for collecting these large datasets and can be obtained from laser scanning or photogrammetric ...

Digital Reconstruction of Axially Thick Potentials
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics/International Quantum Electronics Conference, 2009The holographic reconstruction of objects typically assumes that the object is axially thin. Here, we demonstrate a simple approach that works for axially-thick potentials which evolve dynamically. Results are verified by reconstructing linear scattering experiments.

Uniformly redundant arrays: digital reconstruction methods
Applied Optics, 1981Several new digital reconstruction techniques for coded aperture imaging are developed which are especially applicable to uniformly redundant arrays (URAs). The techniques provide improved resolution without upsetting the artifact-free nature of URAs.

Point-based digitally reconstructed radiograph
2008 19th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2008In this paper, we present a novel point-based digitally reconstructed radiography (PBDRR) method for large CT data sets. Three steps are mainly included in the proposed method, namely point sampling, point rendering and quantization. Finite samples are determined on the nature or user-specified transfer function by a Monte Carlo technique.

Reconstruction of Congenital Aplasia of Digits
Surgical Clinics of North America, 1981Reconstruction of partial digital aplasia with one border digit is attainable in young patients. It requires construction or transplantation of a stable part with functional sensibility to permit pinch and grasp. Toe transplants provide these functions relatively rapidly but carry a certain risk of failure and add a new deformity to the foot.

Partial-spectrum-reconstruction digital filter banks
1993 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002Practical design methods for partial-spectrum-reconstruction (PSR) filter banks are presented. The filters are the discrete-Fourier-transform (DFT) or the discrete-cosine-transform (DCT) versions of prototype filters. The prototype filters are designed to minimize aliasing and distortions at the output. The proposed technique is extended to system with

Advances In Reconstruction Of Digital Joints
Clinics in Plastic Surgery, 1997The recent development of dynamic traction provides several advantages for the treatment of intra-articular fractures of the hand: Ligamentotaxis reduces fracture fragments and realigns joint surfaces, Contracture of joint ligament and periarticular structures is prevented, Collapse of fracture fragments is prevented, Cartilage healing and regeneration

Digitizing and reconstructing images
1991Before an analogue image can be processed by computer it must first be digitized, or expressed as an array of numbers. The digitizing process can be divided into three phases: a) The image area is scanned by an aperture or spot. By definition this is finite in size, and simultaneously acts as a low-pass prefilter (attenuating the higher spatial ...
