Thumb Reconstruction by Digital Transposition

Orthopedic Clinics of North America, 1977
In traumatic loss or congenital aplasia of the thumb, transposition of a digit on its neurovascular pedicle is the preferable method for thumb reconstruction. The index finger is the digit of choice, but any other finger or a portion of a finger can be used, especially if it is damaged.

Digital reconstruction of human development

Science, 2016
Human Development The detailed morphology of human development has intrigued scientists and the medical field alike. However, the scarcity of specimens hampers detailed mapping of tissue architecture.

Digital Reconstruction in the Mutilated Hand

Annals of Plastic Surgery, 1982
Salvage and reconstruction of the mutilated degloved hand or digit pose a problem because of the deficiency of local innervated pulp tissue. Free neurovascular flaps from the first web space of the foot supply a large area of well-padded innervated glabrous skin to resurface such defects.

Meshless reconstruction technique for digital tomosynthesis

Physics in Medicine & Biology, 2020
A novel meshless reconstruction algorithm for digital tomosynthesis (DT) is presented and assessed against experimental data. The algorithm does not require a three-dimensional grid or mesh allocation and performs a slice-by-slice reconstruction where each slice position can be chosen at runtime.

Digital reconstruction of nonlinear beam propagation

2008 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2008
We extend the technique of digital holography to the case of propagation through nonlinear media. We experimentally verify the technique by reconstructing nonlinear wave dynamics within a self-defocusing medium and nonlinearly imaging through it.

Digital Reconstruction of large horizontal parallax digital holograms

Imaging and Applied Optics Congress, 2020
An Angular Spectrum-based method that allows for reconstruction of digital holograms having large horizontal parallax is developed. It has high efficiency of calculations in terms of speed and memory used. Experimental verification is provided.

Digital Outcrop Model Reconstruction and Interpretation

2022
Collecting quantitative and extensive datasets in the field is fundamental in structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology, rock mechanics, and in other fields of the Earth and planetary sciences. Digital Outcrop Models (DOMs) provide a 3D framework for collecting these large datasets and can be obtained from laser scanning or photogrammetric ...

Digital Reconstruction of Axially Thick Potentials

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics/International Quantum Electronics Conference, 2009
The holographic reconstruction of objects typically assumes that the object is axially thin. Here, we demonstrate a simple approach that works for axially-thick potentials which evolve dynamically. Results are verified by reconstructing linear scattering experiments.

The Digital Reconstruction of Healthcare

2021
The complex challenges facing healthcare require innovative solutions that can make patient care more effective, easily available, and affordable. One such solution is the digital reconstruction of medicine that transitions much of patient care from hospitals, clinics, and offices to a variety of virtual settings.

Uniformly redundant arrays: digital reconstruction methods

Applied Optics, 1981
Several new digital reconstruction techniques for coded aperture imaging are developed which are especially applicable to uniformly redundant arrays (URAs). The techniques provide improved resolution without upsetting the artifact-free nature of URAs.
