A generic digital watermarking model
Computers & Graphics, 1998Abstract This paper presents a generic model of digital watermarking techniques based on the following principles: steganography, spread spectrum communications technology, and perceptibility restriction and noise theory. Concepts and functional modules are developed in this paper to describe an abstract scheme of digital watermarking methods.

On the digital watermarking in JPEG 2000
ICECS 2001. 8th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01EX483), 2002JPEG 2000 is the new ISO/ITU-T standard for still image coding, which is released in 2000. This paper puts into perspective JPEG 2000 concept a long with watermarking concept. It provides also a comparative evaluation study of JPEG2000 and JPEG-DCT. The principles behind each algorithm of JPEG 2000 and watermarking are briefly described.

Information retrieval in digital watermarking
IEEE Communications Magazine, 2001Digital watermarking, the art of robust information hiding in images, has gained a large interest in both research and industry in the past few years. Every watermarking system has two main parts: watermark embedding and watermark extraction/detection.

Practical Capacity of Digital Watermarks
2001A practical approach for evaluating the capacity of watermarks is presented. In real applications of watermarks, reliability is one of the most important metrics. The problem focused on in this paper is maximizing the number of embedded bits when there are some constraints on detection reliability.
