Compact RF CMOS 4-bit Digitally Controlled Oscillator

A digital-trim controlled on-chip RC oscillator

In this paper, a high-accuracy RC Oscillator (OSC) circuit is demonstrated using trimming control. The OSC uses a 7-bit binary-weighted resistor array as the trimming object. A novel digitally controlled low noise ring oscillator

This paper presents a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) with a novel architecture. The proposed DCO achieves low noise operation without the need for an LC resonator or specialized radio frequency (RF) process layers. Frequency tuning is achieved by controlling capacitive coupled charge injection.
