The nucleotide sequence of a geminivirus from Digitaria sanguinalis
Virology, 1987The encapsidated single-stranded circular DNA of a geminivirus isolated from Digitaria sanguinalis has been sequenced. The data obtained are consistent with there being one DNA circle of 2701 nucleotides. Comparison of the nucleotide sequence with those of maize streak virus (MSV) and wheat dwarf virus showed 64 and 47% DNA homology, respectively.

Interference of large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis) with snap beans
Weed Science, 2003Abstract Field experiments were conducted to determine the effect of large crabgrass densities of 0.5 to 8 plants m−1 of row and emergence time on snap bean yield. Large crabgrass was planted either along with snap beans (early) or when the first trifoliate leaf of snap beans was opening (late).

Field studies were conducted in 2016 and 2017 at Clinton, NC, to quantify the effects of season-long interference of large crabgrass [Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop.] and Palmer amaranth (Amaranthus palmeri S. Watson) on ‘AG6536’ soybean [Glycine max (L.

Weed Biology and Management, 2010
Knowledge of weed population dynamics is crucial for designing effective weed management practises. A field experiment was carried out at Torre Marimon (near Barcelona, north‐eastern Spain) in 2006 and 2007 in order to study the effects of the seedling emergence time on Digitaria sanguinalis fitness.

Characterization of a nitrogen-fixing bacterial strain from the roots of Digitaria sanguinalis
Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1976Rates of nitrogen fixation of 3 to 10 g of N2 fixed per hectare per day were associated with root systems of Digitaria sanguinalis. A Gram-negative motile aerobic bacterial strain that was capable of N2 fixation was isolated from a washed root sample of one of these plants. Optimal growth and N2 fixation occurred at a pH of about 6.5, a temperature of

Postemergence Control of Large Crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis) with Herbicides
Weed Science, 1991Four field locations were used to compare environmental factors on efficacy of four postemergence grass herbicides in Kentucky bluegrass and bermudagrass turf. Imazaquin, BAS 514, and tridiphane were compared to fenoxaprop-ethyl, a registered herbicide, for postemergence control of large crabgrass.
