Factores biológicos que determinan la competencia de Commelina erecta con otras malezas en sistemas de cultivo Biological factors determining Commelina erecta competition with other weeds in cultivated systems

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2011

Optimizing seeding ratios of field pea–brown mustard intercrops in Atlantic Canada

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Intercropping is a promising approach for ecological intensification that can enhance productivity and agroecosystem services. This study evaluated the agroecological performance of field pea (Pisum sativum) and brown mustard (Brassica juncea) intercropping across seeding ratios (0.5×, 1.0×, and 1.5× the recommended rates; 100 seeds m−2 ...

Synthesis and Herbicidal Activity of 5-Heterocycloxy-3-methyl-1-substituted-1H-pyrazoles

open access: yesMolecules, 2015
With the objective of finding valuable herbicidal candidates, a series of new 5-heterocycloxy-3-methyl-1-substituted-1H-pyrazoles were synthesized and their herbicidal activities were evaluated.

Plant functional diversity does not dilute virus infection, but community virus prevalence positively correlates with net C3 grass production

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 114, Issue 2, February 2026.
This study examines if plant functional diversity dilutes plant virus prevalence in grass hosts and evaluates how virus prevalence influences net community and host production. Functional diversity did not mitigate or amplify virus prevalence. While we found that species relationships between virus prevalence and production varied, overall, virus ...

Integrating early spring‐planted barley or oat for Palmer amaranth management in soybean

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Abstract Fall‐planted cover crops (CCs) are widely used for weed suppression, but CC establishment challenges after fall harvest in temperate regions necessitate alternative approaches. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the integrated effect of spring‐planted barley or oat CC and herbicide programs for CC biomass production, Palmer amaranth

Response of the Digitaria sanguinalis (L.) Scop. to the soil salinity – a greenhouse experiment

open access: yesEcological Questions, 2010
Large crabgrass is not registered in the Ellenberg’s list of halophyte species, but it growths in salt contaminated soil along roads. Our manipulative experiment in greenhouse was focused on growth activities of Large crabgrass in salt soil condition. Saline solutions of sodium chloride were 0, 0.12, 0.25, 0.50, 0.99, and 1.96%.
