Clinical Outcomes on Remote Monitoring Compliance in Patients With Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 41, Issue 5, October 2025.
Remote monitoring compliance was associated with significantly lower combined end‐points of all‐cause mortality and heart failure hospitalizations, even though individual outcomes (mortality or heart failure hospitalization) did not reach statistical significance.

Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Modeling of Valemetostat to Inform Dose Recommendations When Coadministered With CYP3A/P‐gp Modulators

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 18, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Valemetostat tosylate (valemetostat) is an oral, potent, selective dual inhibitor of enhancer of zeste homolog (EZH)2 and EZH1, approved in Japan for the treatment of relapsed/refractory adult T‐cell leukemia/lymphoma and peripheral T‐cell lymphoma.

Echocardiographic Markers of Prognosis in Patients Undergoing Ventricular Arrhythmia Ablation

open access: yesEchocardiography, Volume 42, Issue 10, October 2025.
This study found no significant associations between echocardiographic measurements and VA recurrence in patients undergoing first‐time RFA. However, both LVMi, LVEF, and GLS were found to be independently associated with life‐threatening arrhythmia and all‐cause mortality.

Validity and Reliability of the Korean Version of the Self‐Care Self‐Efficacy Scale for Patients With Heart Failure: A Psychometric Evaluation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Nursing Practice, Volume 31, Issue 5, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim The psychometric properties of the 10‐item Self‐Care Self‐Efficacy scale have not yet been established in the Korean language. This study aimed to evaluate its validity and reliability among Korean patients with heart failure (HF). Methods A total of 159 patients with HF participated (mean age: 65.40 ± 9.62 years; 60.1% male).

Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Heart Failure With Preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF): Advances and Challenges

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 36, Issue 10, Page 2720-2745, October 2025.
ABSTRACT This state‐of‐the‐art review is based on the Philippe Coumel Lecture in 2024 (Figure 1). It highlights the confluence of two major cardiovascular epidemics, atrial fibrillation and heart failure, with preserved ejection fraction. In these conditions, advances in electrophysiology and heart failure physiology are intertwined and are integrated ...

Silent Dangers in Elderly Pharmacotherapy: The Interplay of Polypharmacy, Multimorbidity, and Drug Interactions

open access: yesJournal of Evaluation in Clinical Practice, Volume 31, Issue 7, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Pharmacological therapy in older persons is inherently complex due to the interplay of age‐related physiological changes, multimorbidity, and polypharmacy. These factors increase the vulnerability of elderly patients to drug interactions and adverse drug reactions.

Hydrogen sulfide promotes lateral root formation in peach through persulfidation of SnRK1α kinase

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 23, Issue 10, Page 4395-4411, October 2025.
Summary Root development is crucial for the growth and yield of horticultural crops. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), an important gasotransmitter, has been shown to regulate lateral root (LR) formation in plants, including peach (Prunus persica). However, its specific regulatory mechanism remains largely unclear.
