Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS BASED ON SEMI-SUPERVISED LLTSA FOR DIMENSION REDUCTION

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2017
Linear local tangent space alignment( LLTSA) is an unsupervised dimension reduction method, which will lends to remaining overlaps between faults when it is used to high-dimension fault feature for dimension reduction due to its incapacity of using part ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

A new methodology to improve wind power prediction accuracy considering power quality disturbance dimension reduction and elimination

open access: yes
The proper integration of wind power-driven grids relies heavily on a reliable balance between electricity production and demand. Therefore, accurate prediction is essential for planning and efficient operation of wind power systems to ensure their ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Evaluation of the Effect of Feature Selection and Different kernel Functions on SVM Performance for Breast Cancer Diagnosis

open access: yesمجله انفورماتیک سلامت و زیست پزشکی, 2018
Introduction: Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women. In mammography, differentiating a malignant tumor from a benign one is a very tedious task due to their structural similarities.

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

STABILITY OF JOINT DIMENSION REDUCTION AND CLUSTERING [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Several methods for joint dimension reduction and cluster analysis of categorical, continuous or mixed-type data have been proposed over time. These methods combine dimension reduction (PCA/MCA/PCAmix) with partitioning clus- tering (K-means) by ...
