Inter-limb and inter-agent coordination in an original joint-action game: exploring novel approaches for clinical practice

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology
After identifying a need to develop rehabilitation practices inspired from a systems perspective, we designed a joint-action game that involves both inter-limb and inter-agent coordination.

Data‐driven discovery of gene expression markers distinguishing pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia subtypes

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates gene expression differences between two major pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) subtypes, B‐cell precursor ALL, and T‐cell ALL, using a data‐driven approach consisting of biostatistics and machine learning methods. Following analysis of a discovery dataset, we find a set of 14 expression markers differentiating the ...

DS-YOLOv7: Dense Small Object Detection Algorithm for UAV

open access: yesIEEE Access
Modern unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) reconnaissance is widely used. UAV equipped with FPV camera can realize the reconnaissance of dense small objects with the help of object detection technology.

Machine learning for identifying liver and pancreas cancers through comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis: a case‐control study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel AI‐based diagnostic approach—comprehensive serum glycopeptide spectra analysis (CSGSA)—that integrates tumor markers and enriched glycopeptides from serum. Using a neural network model, this method accurately distinguishes liver and pancreatic cancers from healthy individuals.

Generalized Elitzur's Theorem and Dimensional Reduction

open access: yes, 2005
We extend Elitzur's theorem to systems with symmetries intermediate between global and local. In general, our theorem formalizes the idea of {\it dimensional reduction}.

Chiral anomaly, dimensional reduction, and magnetoresistivity of Weyl and Dirac semimetals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
By making use of the Kubo formula, we calculate the conductivity of Dirac and Weyl semimetals in a magnetic field. We find that the longitudinal (along the direction of the magnetic field) magnetoresistivity is negative at sufficiently large magnetic ...

Avalanches and dimensional reduction breakdown in the critical behavior of disordered systems. [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2012
We investigate the connection between a formal property of the critical behavior of several disordered systems, known as "dimensional reduction," and the presence in these systems at zero temperature of collective events known as "avalanches." Avalanches

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

Dimensional reduction in the sky [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We explore the cosmological implications of a mechanism found in several approaches to quantum gravity, whereby the spectral dimension of spacetime runs from the standard value of 4 in the infrared (IR) to a smaller value in the ultraviolet (UV ...

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
