A Robust Multi-Subject fMRI Analysis Method Using Dimensional Optimization
In blind source separation (BSS) for multisubject functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data, dimensionality reduction is generally performed for multiple times. This leads to the challenge of determining the number of the retained dimensionality,

Homology-Preserving Dimensionality Reduction via Manifold Landmarking and Tearing [PDF]
Dimensionality reduction is an integral part of data visualization. It is a process that obtains a structure preserving low-dimensional representation of the high-dimensional data. Two common criteria can be used to achieve a dimensionality reduction: distance preservation and topology preservation. Inspired by recent work in topological data analysis,

openTSNE: a modular Python library for t-SNE dimensionality reduction and embedding
Summary Point-based visualisations of large, multi-dimensional data from molecular biology can reveal meaningful clusters. One of the most popular techniques to construct such visualisations is t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE), for ...

DIMENSIONALITY REDUCTION WITH IMAGE DATA [PDF]
A common objective in image analysis is dimensionality reduction. The most common often used data-exploratory technique with this objective is principal component analysis. We propose a new method based on the projection of the images as matrices after a

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Arabic L2 readability assessment: Dimensionality reduction study
Readability is a measure that associates a written text to a reader’s skill or grade level. Readability assessment is very important in the field of second or foreign language (L2) learning.

Tree-like Dimensionality Reduction for Cancer-informatics
Dimensionality reduction in machine learning currently has become a very heated research filed. Traditional dimensionality reduction can be separated into two sub-fields of feature selection and feature extraction, but both of them are under local ...

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Dimensionality Reduction by Weighted Connections between Neighborhoods
Dimensionality reduction is the transformation of high-dimensional data into a meaningful representation of reduced dimensionality. This paper introduces a dimensionality reduction technique by weighted connections between neighborhoods to improve K ...

Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular
