Lessons From Deep Eutectic Solvents to Design High Entropy Electrolytes for Electrochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
The aim of this perspective is demonstrating how the correspondence between deviations from ideality and solvation structure observed in deep eutectic solvents may help for designing the specific composition of high entropy electrolytes that maximize performance in electrochemical energy storage systems.

Removal of dimethylsulfoxide from wastewater using mild oxidation with H2O2 over Ti-based catalysts

open access: yes, 2009
International audienceThe mild catalytic oxidation of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) into biodegradable dimethylsulfone is proposed as an efficient pretreatment of wastewaters subjected to biological treatment processes. A SiO2–TiO2 mesoporous xerogel prepared

Using Cu2+‐Centered Complexes as Glue: Two New Layered Polyoxotantalates Based on the Interconnection of the {Ta6O19} Moiety

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 9, 3 June 2026.
Layered structures of polyoxotantalates generated by different connection modes of the dimeric {(Cu(dien))2Cu(Ta6O19)2} unit. Applying the three different solutions [Cu(dien)]2+ in DMSO/H2O, acetonitrile, and [Ta6O19]6‐/H2O in a layering approach, the two new polyxotantalates [Cu(dien)]5{(Cu(dien)(H2O)2)Cu(Ta6O19)2}·DMSO·32 H2O (I) and K2[(Cu(dien))6 ...

Investigating the effect of enzymatic elimination of endocannabinoids inhibitors on tonic- colonic seizure provoked by PTZ

open access: yesMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ̒Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Bābul, 2016
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: In recent years, numerous attempts were done to find new treatment methods for patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. Anandamide (Anandamides; AEA) and di-Arachidonoylglycerol (2-Arachidonoylglycerol; 2-AG) are two major ligands

Positron Annihilation in and Adiabatic Compressibility of Water-Organic Solutions. The System Water-Dimethylsulfoxide

open access: yes, 1991
The results of positron lifetime and ultrasonic velocity measurements in dilute aqueous dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solutions show the usual extreme characteristic for polar organic solutes.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1453-1472, June 2026.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Magnetothermal‐Triggered Response and Self‐Healing of Recyclable and Reprocessable Nanocomposites for Actuation Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 45, 5 June 2026.
Developing recyclable materials for magnetic robotics that combine rapid response and self‐healing properties is challenging. Hence, this study focuses on the integration of magnetothermal nanoparticles into a dynamic sorbitol‐based vitrimer, a recyclable composite capable of remote actuation and self‐healing by magnetic heating.

The combined inelastic neutron scattering (INS) and solid-state dft study of hydrogen-atoms dynamics in kaolinite-dimethylsulfoxide intercalate

open access: yes, 2010
Vibrational spectra of two kaolinite-dimethylsulfoxide intercalates, obtained using inelastic neutron scattering (INS), were analyzed with a view to understanding the dynamics of the hydrogen atoms in the structure.

Beyond Earth: Resilience of Quasi‐2D Perovskite Solar Cells in Space

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 31, 2 June 2026.
In the article (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202520433), Christoph Putz and co‐workers demonstrate rigid quasi‐2D perovskite solar cells operating in low Earth orbit, delivering stable power for more than 100 days under real‐space conditions. In‐orbit performance is correlated with extensive ground‐based thermal and proton‐irradiation studies on rigid and ...

cis,cis,cis-Dichloridobis(N4,N4-dimethylpyridin-4-amine-κN1)bis(dimethyl sulfoxide-κS)ruthenium(II)

open access: yesIUCrData
The structure of the title compound, [RuCl2(C7H10N2)2(C2H6OS)2], has monoclinic (P21/n) symmetry. The Ru—N distances of the coordination compound are influenced by the trans chloride or dimethylsulfoxide-κS ligands.
