Abstract In this paper the densities and enthalpies of solution of dimethylsulfone (DMSO2) in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and DMSO/water equimolar mixture have been measured over available concentration range (up to about 1 mol kg − 1 ). Densities of solutions and apparent molar volumes were determined over the 293.15–323.15 K temperature range.

The electrochemistry of hemin in dimethylsulfoxide
Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1990Abstract The electrochemistry of iron(III) protoporphyrin IX chloride (hemin) in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) was examined under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Under anaerobic conditions, two redox processes were observed , and a diffusion coefficient of 1.3 × 10 −6 cm 2 s was calculated for the iron(III) form of hemin.

The reactions of halocyclophosphazenes with dimethylsulfoxide
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1976Abstract Reactions of compounds with the general formula [NP X 2 ] n with dimethylsulfoxide, DMSO, are reported. X was either chlorine or fluorine and n was 3 or 4. The halocyclophosphazenes were found to undergo degradation reactions with DMSO to yield partially or fully hydroxylated phosphazenes or phosphazanes.

[Adsorption of dimethylsulfoxide on proteins].
Biofizika, 2000A method for measuring the adsorption of dimethyl sulfoxide on native and denatured trypsin and albumin was developed. On native proteins, no positive adsorption was registered, and a slight negative adsorption within the limits of experimental error was observed.
