Frequency-stabilized laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser
Optics Letters, 1989We describe a frequency-stabilized diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser that is actively frequency stabilized relative to a reference Fabry-Perot cavity using the Pound-Drever technique. We describe the servo loop and the measurement of its noise and gain performance and demonstrate its ability to reduce the laser frequency noise close to the shotnoise limit of ...

Room-temperature diode-pumped Yb:KYF_4 laser
Optics Letters, 2006Continuous-wave laser action has been demonstrated in a diode-pumped Yb:KYF(4) crystal. Crystal growth, spectroscopic measurements, and laser results are presented. A maximum output power of 505 mW, a slope efficiency of 43%, and a continuous wavelength tunability range of 65nm, from 1013 to 1078 nm, have been obtained at room temperature.

Diode-pumped Yb^3+:KYF_4 femtosecond laser
Optics Letters, 2008Passive mode locking of a diode-pumped Yb(3+):KYF(4) laser is demonstrated using a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror. A high-stability, transform-limited pulse train with a repetition rate of 57 MHz is generated. Solitonlike pulses with maximum average output power of 250 mW, minimum pulse duration of 170 fs, and rms time jitter of 360 fs were ...

Ultrastable laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers
OSA Annual Meeting, 1993We report the performance of the frequency stabilized LD pumped Nd:YAG lasers. We have obtained the frequency noise level of about 3×10−4 Hz/Hz in the error signal and the beat-note line-width of about 100 Hz between two stabilized lasers.

Since the invention of diode lasers in the early 1960's there had been continuous investigations in laser diode pumped solid state lasers as has been reviewed in detail by a number of papers ( see e.g. [1] ). There are two main advantages of using diode lasers instead of flashlaraps as a pump source for solid state lasers: First the emission of ...

Laser-diode-pumped Nd:YVO 4 lasers
SPIE Proceedings, 1993We report on the first laser diode pumped Nd:YVO 4 fundamental and second harmonic lasers made in China. The threshold pumping power of the LD-pumped Nd:YVO 4 fundamental laser is 4.5 mW. The cw 1064 nm output power is 64 mW with slope efficiency of 10.7%.

Miniature Laser Diode Pumped Nd:YAG Lasers
1985Progress in high power laser diodes operating near 0.81 micron allow the construction of efficient, low power Nd:YAG lasers. We describe an end pumped Nd:YAG oscillator with 25% slope efficiency and 2 mW threshold. The demonstrated frequency stability of the diode pumped monolithic Nd:YAG laser is less than 10 kHz in 0.1 sec.
