Room-temperature diode-pumped Yb:KYF_4 laser

Optics Letters, 2006
Continuous-wave laser action has been demonstrated in a diode-pumped Yb:KYF(4) crystal. Crystal growth, spectroscopic measurements, and laser results are presented. A maximum output power of 505 mW, a slope efficiency of 43%, and a continuous wavelength tunability range of 65nm, from 1013 to 1078 nm, have been obtained at room temperature.

Diode-pumped Yb^3+:KYF_4 femtosecond laser

Optics Letters, 2008
Passive mode locking of a diode-pumped Yb(3+):KYF(4) laser is demonstrated using a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror. A high-stability, transform-limited pulse train with a repetition rate of 57 MHz is generated. Solitonlike pulses with maximum average output power of 250 mW, minimum pulse duration of 170 fs, and rms time jitter of 360 fs were ...

Efficient laser diode pumped Nd lasers

Applied Optics, 1989
Results are presented for laser diode axially pumped Nd:YAG and Nd:BEL lasers. For Nd:YAG, in excess of 870 mW was obtained with a differential slope efficiency of 56%, and for Nd:BEL in excess of 635 mW was obtained with a slope efficiency of 46%. Electrical efficiencies of 13.0 and 9.5% were recorded for Nd:YAG and Nd:BEL, respectively.

Diode pumped alkali lasers

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
Diode pumped alkali lasers attract growing attention during the past several years because they have demonstrated potential to compete and, possibly, replace the best existing high power laser systems. In spite of the fact that an optically pumped alkali (potassium) vapor laser was first proposed by A.L. Schawlow and C.H.

Diode-pumped dye laser

Laser Physics Letters, 2016
This letter reports diode pumping for dye lasers. We offer a pulsed dye laser with an astigmatism-compensated three-mirror cavity and side pumping by blue laser diodes with 200 ns pulse duration. Eight dyes were tested. Four dyes provided a slope efficiency of more than 10% and the highest slope efficiency (18%) was obtained for laser dye Coumarin 540A

Diode-pumped Pr:YAP lasers

Laser Physics Letters, 2011
Spectroscopic properties and laser output results of Pr-doped YAlO3 material under 1-W GaN-laser-diode pumping at various resonator arrangement (linear, V-folded, and microchip configuration) are reviewed and compared. Continuous output power of up to 140 mW in the near-infrared spectral range at 747 nm wavelength as well as 45% slope efficiency (with ...

Laser diode-pumped dye laser

SPIE Proceedings, 1995
A dye laser pumped by AlGaInP laser diodes produced efficient, low threshold operation at wavelengths between 740 and 800 nm. Rhodamine 700, oxazine 750, DOTCI and oxazine 1 dyes were demonstrated. Optical conversion efficiencies approaching 50% and output power as high as 360 mW were obtained when pumping with a DCM-based dye laser.

Cr:ZnMnSe Diode-pumped Laser

2018 International Conference Laser Optics (ICLO), 2018
This study presents tunable laser oscillator based on diode-pumped Cr:Zn x Mn 1-x Se single crystals. Pulsed oscillations in tunable ranges 2290–2578 nm and 2353–2543 nm were demonstrated for Cr:Zn 0.95 Mn 0.05 Se and Cr:Zn 0.70 Mn 0.30 Se and the peak output power up to 177 mW and 94 mW, respectively.

Diode-pumped Ho:YAG laser

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 1986
A high efficiency laser diode array pumped Nd:YAG solid-state laser has recently been demonstrated.1 We report for the first time a diode array pumped rare-earth laser other than Nd. Laser action was observed on the trivalent holmium 5/7 → 5/8, 2.1-μm transition.

Diode-pumped Nd:MgO:LINbO3 laser

Annual Meeting Optical Society of America, 1986
Laser action in Nd:MgO:LiNbO3 was recently demonstrated by pumping with a rhodamine 6G dye laser operating at 598 nm. MgO-doping substantially reduced photorefractive damage in Nd:LiNbO3 but did not eliminate it entirely. True cw room temperature laser action was possible for propagation along the c axis (F‖c) but not for ...
