A diode-clamped multilevel inverter with voltage boost function
8th International Conference on Power Electronics - ECCE Asia, 2011Multilevel inverters are mainly used in high power and medium voltage applications to reduce the required voltage rating of the power semiconductor switching devices. On the other hands, these multilevel inverters are attractive for various applications regardless of the power ratings because they can essentially realize lower harmonics with lower ...

Modeling of diode clamped inverter using SPWM technique
2017 International Conference on Green Energy Conversion Systems (GECS), 2017Certainly many applications in industrial field have begun to require nowadays high power. However some industrial appliances require for their operation medium or low power. So using a high power source for all types of loads may be a benefic solution to some motors, while it makes damage for other loads.

Study on the simulation of diode-clamping inverter
2011 International Conference on Electrical and Control Engineering, 2011In this paper, the structure of the multilevel invertor of multilevel invertor's circuit is analyzed based on ladder-wave PWM principle and waveform theory, and a method of switching angle control is proposed. The specified lower frequency harmonics is eliminated and the fundamental voltage is adjusted by controlling the switching time of power ...

Voltage Analysis of Multilevel Diode Clamped Inverter with SVPWM Technique
Journal of New Materials for Electrochemical Systems, 2022The quantity of direct current voltage steps that are needed by the inverter connect is characterized based on the quantity of levels in an inverter bridge to accomplish a specific electric potential at its output. The best technique for settling the voltages applied to the gadgets is by clipping therefore utilizing dc voltage sources or huge ...

Hybrid SVPWM strategy for diode-clamped 3H-bridge inverter
2014 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2014The paper presents a novel space vector modulation strategy for a single phase three-level neutral-point-clamped(NPC) inverter. Based on the operating principle of NPC inverter, this strategy overcomes one of the main problems of this inverter, which is the DC-link capacitors voltage unbalancing problem that appears in the neutral point under some ...

A New Reduced Switch Diode Clamped Multilevel Inverter Topology
2020 IEEE International Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GUCON), 2020In this work, a new diode clamped multilevel inverter topology with reduced switches and component counts is proposed. This topology can generate desired level of output voltages with lower number of switches and clamping diodes. A scaled version of the proposed topology is discussed with relevant figures of merits. Two different levels of inverters (5

Phase-Controlled Class-D ZVS Inverter with Clamp Diodes
2018 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2018This paper proposes the phase-controlled class-D inverter with clamp diodes. In the proposed inverter, one of the resonant inductance is divided into two components and clamp diodes are added to the middle point of the divided inductance. By adding the clamp diodes, over currents can be suppressed effectively.
