Isolation and characterization of Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV from human placenta [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Human placenta is surprisingly rich in post-proline dipeptidyl peptidase activity. Among various cell fractions, microsomes have the highest specific activity. A homogeneous enzyme preparation is obtained in a six-step purification procedure.

Prescribing Trajectories in Type 2 Diabetes in the United States, 2019–2024

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Importance Clinical guidelines for type 2 diabetes (T2D) provide population‐level recommendations, but real‐world treatment patterns evolve dynamically and vary across patients. Understanding longitudinal prescribing trajectories may reveal heterogeneity in care not captured by cross‐sectional analyses.

Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Receptor Agonists and Incident Major Adverse Liver Outcomes in People With Type 2 Diabetes and Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims Treatment options for metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) are limited. While glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RA) and sodium‐glucose cotransporter‐2 (SGLT‐2) inhibitors improve cardiovascular outcomes, comparative effectiveness on liver‐related outcomes remains unclear.

D-420720, A Novel Orally Active Sulfonamide Compound Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV Inhibitor: Structure and Activity Relationship of Arylsuffonamide to Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV Inhibition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
[[abstract]]Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease characteristic of poor glucose homeostasis that requires constant monitoring and adjustment of blood glucose levels by exogenous intervention.

Association of Sodium‐Glucose Cotransporter‐2 Inhibitors With Incident Gout Risk: A Population‐Based Comparative Cohort Study With Genetic Evidence From Mendelian Randomisation

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim Sodium‐glucose cotransporter‐2 inhibitors (SGLT2i) are known to reduce serum urate levels, yet their specific impact on gout incidence in the Korean population remains underexplored. We investigated the association between SGLT2i use and incident gout using real‐world data and Mendelian randomisation (MR) analysis. Materials and Methods We

Shifts in Incident Glucose Lowering Drug Initiation in Type 2 Diabetes From 2014 to 2024: A Population‐Based Study

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims This study aimed to analyse incident glucose lowering drug (GLD) utilisation in Australia between the period 2014 and 2024. Materials and Methods Australian Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) data (10% PBS dataset) were analysed to assess the proportions of incident monotherapy, dual therapy and triple therapy and the proportion of ...
