Low‐loss compact diplexer based on complementary spiral resonators

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, Volume 66, Issue 6, June 2024.
Abstract The article describes a novel low‐loss microwave diplexer based on compact planar filtering elements. These are composed of spiral resonators and etched directly onto the signal layer. Furthermore, their design and optimization prove to be easy, and their native high‐pass/low‐pass characteristics are perfectly suited for assembling a diplexer.

Wideband Diplexer With Narrow Channel Spacing Using Hybrid Bandpass-Bandstop Structures

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper, a wideband diplexer with narrow channel spacing is designed by using hybrid bandpass-bandstop structures. Two wideband bandpass structures are designed with the transmission zeros at the upper or lower passband edges to achieve high skirt ...

Frequency selective surface with a bistable auxetic geometry

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 60, Issue 12, June 2024.
Two bistable auxetic array geometries have been considered as FSS arrays of conducting elements. A square base form auxetic array with a combination of vertical and horizontal IT‐poles and a triangular one with three legged elements. Both of these have exhibited FSS reflection and transmission band characteristics with close band ratios.

Surface Air‐Pressure Measurements From Space Using Differential Absorption Radar on the Right Wing of the 60 GHz Oxygen Band

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 11, Issue 4, April 2024.
Abstract Surface air pressure is one of the most important parameters used in Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) models. Although it has been measured using weather stations on the ground for many decades, the numbers of measurements are sparse and concentrated on land. Few measurements from buoys and ships are available over ocean. Global measurements

Coupled Resonator Diplexer without External Junctions

open access: yesJournal of Electromagnetic Analysis and Applications, 2011
A coupled resonator diplexer has been designed, fabricated, and tested. The design is based on synthesis of coupling matrix of a 3-port coupled resonator circuit using optimization. Unlike conventional diplexers, the presented diplexer configuration does not include any separate junctions for distribution of energy. The diplexer has been implemented at

Miniaturised high‐isolation K‐/Ka‐band diplexer with 3D antarafacial channel integration using vertical quasi‐coaxial matching network

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 18, Issue 4, Page 291-296, April 2024.
A miniaturised high‐isolation K‐/Ka‐band diplexer with exceeding adjacent channels using 3D antarafacial channel integration and vertical‐quasi‐coaxial‐based matching network is proposed. Working principle, design method and test solution of this proposed K‐/Ka‐band diplexer are well illustrated, and the high‐isolation (>40 dB) in very adjacent ...

A Self-Packaged SICL-Based Integrated Antenna-Diplexer System Featuring High Isolation and Selectivity

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation
This article proposes a new design procedure for the development of a highly selective diplexer and its integration with a high-gain antenna. The proposed diplexer conceived by two SICL-based bandpass filters and an impedance matching network exhibits ...

A Novel Design of an H-shaped Microstrip Diplexer

open access: yesJournal of Microwaves, Optoelectronics and Electromagnetic Applications
In this paper, a new microstrip diplexer using modified H-shaped resonators with a compact size and high isolation is presented. This circuit is designed for the ISM band at 2.4 GHz and GPS at 1.575 GHz.

Resonant-grid quasioptical diplexer

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1973
Measurements on a polarisation independent-resonant-grid diplexer are described. The grid transmits the 13·5 to 19 GHz band (loss < 1 dB). It reflects the 23 to 36 GHz band (loss < 1 dB) at an angle of 40° to the incident beam. Peak rejections exceed 44dB. Crosspolarised components are below 30dB.
