Fundamental magnetic properties of Greigite (Fe3S4)

open access: yes, 2009
Over the last twenty years, greigite (Fe3S4), an authigenic magnetic iron sulphide mineral, has been increasingly identified in sulphate-reducing marine and lacustrine sedimentary systems.

Cost‐Effective Solid‐State NMR Of Fungal Glucans: A Case Study On Schizosaccharomyces pombe

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A cost‐effective solid‐state NMR strategy enables replication and semi‐quantitative assessment of inherent variation of the fungal cell wall. Whole cell and cell wall extractions yield subtly different compositional differences, revealing molecular adaptations invisible to microscopy.

The solar tachocline: a self-consistent model of magnetic confinement

open access: yes, 2011
In this dissertation we consider the dynamics of the solar interior, with particular focus on angular momentum balance and magnetic field confinement within the tachocline. In Part I we review current knowledge of the Sun's rotation.

Ultra‐Wideline 2D Correlations Among Low‐γ Species in Solid‐State NMR via the Progressive Saturation of a Common Proton Reservoir

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This study introduces PROSPECT, a 2D solid‐state NMR method that correlates MHz‐wide, low‐γ anisotropic powder patterns. PROSPECT operates by progressively depleting a shared 1H dipolar‐order reservoir via two independently stepped cross‐polarizing offsets, yielding homonuclear and heteronuclear correlations without requiring direct transfers or even ...

Multi-wavelength emission modelling of PSR J0437–4715

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. The diversity of pulsar light curves and radio polarisation properties originates in the structure of the magnetic field close to the stellar surface. For millisecond pulsars, this complexity is particularly puzzling.

Pollux: a stable weak dipolar magnetic field but no planet? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Pollux is considered as an archetype of a giant star hosting a planet: its radial velocity (RV) presents sinusoidal variations with a period of about 590 d, which have been stable for more than 25 years. Using ESPaDOnS and Narval we have detected a weak (

Magnetic hysteresis based on dipolar interactions in granular magnetic systems

open access: yes, 2015
The magnetic hysteresis of granular magnetic systems is investigated in the high-temperature limit (T much greater than blocking temperature of magnetic nanoparticles).

Spotlight on the Nucleotide: Solid‐State NMR for the Investigation of ATP Hydrolysis in the ATPase SmsC

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Nucleotide‐detected solid‐state NMR has been applied to probe nucleotide conformations and dynamics during ATP hydrolysis using the dimeric P‐loop ATPase SmsC as a model protein. The different stages of ATP hydrolysis have been mimicked by ATP analogues for which different degrees of conformational heterogeneity have been observed. ABSTRACT Solid‐state

Multi-observatory Study of Young Stellar Energetic Flares (MORYSEF): No Evidence for Abnormally Strong Stellar Magnetic Fields after Powerful X-Ray Flares

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We explore the empirical power-law relationship between X-ray luminosity ( L _X ) and total surface magnetic flux (Φ), established across solar magnetic elements, time- and disk-averaged emission from the Sun, older active stars, and pre-main-sequence ...

The Electronic Spin State of Diradicals Obtained from the Nuclear Perspective: The Strange Case of Chichibabin Radicals

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The electronic spin state of two Chichibabin radicals is investigated using 2‐dimensional hyperfine correlated Electron Nuclear Double Resonance. The protons (I=1/2) act as a reference for the electronic spin quantum number (S) via their hyperfine interactions.
