Estimation of dielectric constant for various standard materials using microstrip ring resonator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Microstrip ring resonator (MRR) is known for dielectric constant determination and many studies used Teflon as a standard sample. However, there are many other materials available which able to perform better or equivalence as the Teflon in calibrating ...

QPSO for failure correction of linear array of mutually coupled parallel dipole antennas with desired side lobe level and return loss

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Engineering Sciences, 2017
A method based on quantum particle swarm optimization is proposed for correcting radiation pattern of a uniformly spaced linear array of parallel half-wavelength vertical very thin dipole antennas when more than one element of the array is completely ...

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

On the use of Purcell factors for plasmon antennas

open access: yes, 2010
The Purcell factor is the standard figure of merit for spontaneous emission enhancement in microcavities, that has also been proposed to describe emission enhancements for plasmonic resonances.

Miniature Nanomesh Mechano‐Acoustic Sensor with Wide Linear Dynamic Range, Broad Bandwidth, and Flat Frequency Response

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A miniaturized mechano‐acoustic sensor is developed using an electrospun PVDF nanomesh as the diaphragm in a capacitive sensor structure. Unlike conventional nanomesh‐based sensors, it achieves high linear sensitivity, a broad and flat frequency response, and a compact form factor.

Dual-Polarized Multi-Resonance Antennas With Broad Bandwidths and Compact Sizes for Base Station Applications

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2020
In this paper, a novel design method for dual-polarized multi-resonance antennas is presented for base station applications. The radiator of the antenna is configured as cross-dipoles with four thin metal strips connected to the adjacent dipole arms. The
