Bleeding Complications in JAK2‐Variant Essential Thrombocythemia: A Revisit in 2025

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 6, Issue 4, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Essential thrombocythemia (ET) is a myeloproliferative neoplasm characterised by sustained thrombocytosis. Optimization of Medium Composition for High Cell Density Culture of Bifidobacterium longum HSBL001 Using Response Surface Methodology

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 4, August 2025.
The optimal culture medium formula and fermentation process of Bifidobacterium longum HSBL001 were determined, and the fermentation level reached 1.17 × 1010 colony‐forming units/mL, which lays a foundation for the industrial application of B. longum. ABSTRACT Bifidobacterium longum plays a critical role in the human gut and exhibits diverse probiotic ...

Association between Endothelial Selectin (E-selectin) gene polymorphisms and E-selectin level with visceral leishmaniais, in an ARMS-PCR based study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Background: In the visceral leishmaniasis (VL), parasites reside in reticuluendothelial system, mainly in macrophages. Endothelial Selectin (E-selectin) might play an important role in leukocyte-endothelium interactions and inflammatory cell recruitment.

Validation of the ABC Method for Gastric Cancer Risk Stratification Across Helicobacter pylori Infections With Diverse CagA Status and Subtypes in Brazil

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 13, July 2025.
This prospective study in Brazil demonstrates the clinical relevance of CagA‐diverse Helicobacter pylori infections for gastric cancer risk assessment. The ABC method reliably identified low‐risk individuals (Group A) and may help reduce unnecessary endoscopies in screening programs, regardless of CagA status and subtypes.
