Experiment and Design Method of Cold-Formed Thin-Walled Steel Double-Lipped Equal-Leg Angle under Axial Compression

open access: yesBuildings, 2022
The cold-formed steel (CFS) double-lipped equal-leg angle is widely used in modular container houses and cold-formed steel buildings. To study the buckling behavior and bearing capacity design method of the cold-formed steel (CFS) double-lipped equal-leg

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Improving parallel hybrid solvers through block low-rank compression and adaptive threshold selection [PDF]

open access: yesPeerJ Computer Science
Sparse linear systems play an important role in scientific computing and large-scale simulations. They often become the main computational bottleneck. For solving such systems, Krylov and multigrid methods are the predominant iterative approaches, while ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

FORMULATION AND EVALUATION OF ORODISPERSIBLE TABLETS OF ACECLOFENAC BY DIRECT COMPRESSION METHOD

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Scientific Research, 2022
Nowadays, Oro dispersible tablets are gaining much importance because it is easily approachable and due to its patient compliance. In this study, Formulation and evaluation of one such tablets of Aceclofenac by direct compression method using super disintegrants like Cross carmellose sodium (CCS) was performed. Due to low water soluble property ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

Liver organoids: modelling complexity in homeostasis and disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Studying liver in vitro has been challenging because simple 2D cell cultures fail to capture liver's cellular and architectural complexity. To bridge this gap, scientists increasingly use organoids, 3D liver models which better mimic liver composition and function. This review examines recent advances in liver organoid complexity and realism, discusses
