How to Detect Hayman Directions
Computational Methods and Function Theory, 2008In order to answer the question in the title of this paper, the author introduces a class of \textit{Hayman exceptional functions}. He expects that it plays a similar role for the study of Hayman directions as Julia exceptional functions do for Julia directions, a characterization of meromorphic functions without any Hayman directions by means of this ...

Astronomers have previously inferred the existence of giant extrasolar planets from the wobble they generate in their parent star. Now, the shadow caused by a planet passing in front of its star, and the probable detection of reflected light from a planet orbiting a very bright star, provide direct evidence for their existence. Such studies offer a way

Fluorescence detections and directions
Measurement Science and Technology, 2011Aromatic molecular fluorescence in condensed media is today much more than a phenomenon. As well as providing a tool to research underlying molecular photophysics, it provides unique properties in terms of sensitivity and timescales for studying and using reactions and kinetics across a whole range of disciplines.

Detection of Direction of Contrast
1990Abstract Because D.B., when he acknowledges having some sort of impression or feeling when a stimulus is abruptly presented, fails to ascribe any sense of ‘brightness’ to the experience — in fact, on one occasion he said, ‘it is as though I imagine that I am moving my finger in front of my eyes in the dark’ — it seemed possible that he ...

Thanks to improvements in instrumental sensitivity as well as the development of a suite of new experiments, 13C direct detection NMR offers a useful tool for biomolecular applications. It can generally be applied in parallel to proton-detected NMR, providing additional and complementary data.
