The Direct Electrochemistry of Cytochrome P450: What are we Actually Measuring? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
The direct electrochemistry of cytochrome P450 has been reported in published articles over the last ten years but has never been conclusively demonstrated because generally none, at best few, but never all, of the necessary control experiments required ...

First air-tolerant effective stainless steel microbial anode obtained from a natural marine biofilm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Microbial anodes were constructed with stainless steel electrodes under constant polarisation. The seawater medium was inoculated with a natural biofilm scraped from harbour equipment.

Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Measurement of aluminum oxide film by Fabry–Pérot interferometry and scanning electron microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Saudi Chemical Society, 2017
A novel experimental scheme for real time measurement of aluminum oxide film during anodization was developed for the first time. The scheme was established based on a combination of a fiber optic sensor of Fabry–Pérot interferometry and direct ...

Electrochemical Evaluation of Compressed Selective Laser Melted AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg Alloys in Chloride Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

Direct Electrochemistry of Eugenol at a Glassy Carbon Electrode Modified with Electrochemically Reduced Graphene Oxide

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
An electrochemically reduced graphene oxide modified glassy carbon electrode (ERGO/GCE) was synthetized by direct electrochemical reduction of graphite oxide on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE).

Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Study on the Relationship between Particulate Methane Monooxygenase and Methanobactin on Gold-Nanoparticles-Modified Electrodes

open access: yesMolecules
(1) Background: Particulate methane monooxygenase (pMMO) has a strong dependence on the natural electron transfer path and is prone to denaturation, which results in its redox activity centers being unable to transfer electrons with bare electrodes ...

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Hydrogen Peroxide Biosensor Based on the Bioelectrocatalysis of Myoglobin Incorporated in Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes/Chitosan Composite Film

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2008
Myoglobin/multi-walled carbon nanotubes/chitosan film (Mb/MWNTs/Cs) electrodes were fabricated based on cross-linking myoglobin (Mb) with multi-walled carbon nanotubes/chitosan (MWNTs/Cs) composite film coated on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE).
