Evaluating strategic directional probability predictions of exchange rates
The current paper aims to examine strategic predictions (with forecast horizons greater than six months) via the empirical probability (EP) technique. This technique was proposed initially to examine short-term tactical predictions (with forecast horizons less than three months), as set out in Pollock et al. (2005).

China's Outward Foreign Direct Investment (OFDI) has been steadily increasing in recent years, and the Renminbi exchange rate and its volatility have played a crucial role in shaping this trend. This study aims to explore the impact of the Renminbi exchange rate and its fluctuations on China's OFDI.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Direct Investment, Hysteresis, and Real Exchange Rate Volatility
Abstract Recent papers by Dixit and others have put forth the argument that real exchange shocks generate a condition of hysteresis in the export entry and exit prices, and that this wedge in prices explains the persistence in the U.S. current account deficit. This article shows that the critical hysteresis bounds for exports are altered dramatically

Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Large devaluations, foreign direct investment and exports : a speculative note [PDF]
One side-effect of the Global Financial Crisis of 2008-09 was the resurgence of a debate over exchange rates. The conventional wisdom dictates that real-exchange rate adjustments are needed in order to bring about changes in trade balances across ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

An introduction to the international implications of U.S. fiscal policy [PDF]
A challenge to the commonly held belief that aggregate U.S. fiscal policy measures, especially the federal budget deficit, bear a simple and direct causal relationship with U.S.

Rapid estimation of relative amide proton exchange rates of 15N-labelled proteins by a straightforward water selective NOESY-HSQC experiment [PDF]
A straightforward heteronuclear pseudo-3D NOESY-HSQC pulse sequence using radiation damping to selectively invert magnetization at the water frequency was developed to estimate the amide proton exchange rates in 15N-labelled proteins.
