Real‐World Pediatric Blinatumomab Administration: Access to Outpatient Care Delivery and Impact of a Hospital‐Dispensed Model

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Blinatumomab has been shown to be highly effective for patients with pediatric B‐ALL and has recently become standard of care therapy. Due to its past use in the clinical trial setting, there is limited information available about real‐world administration.

Efficient reanalysis of structures by a direct modification method [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
A procedure for the local stiffness modifications of large structures is described. It enables structural modifications without an a priori definition of the changes in the original structure and without loss of efficiency due to multiple loading ...

Lattice Boltzmann method for direct numerical simulation of turbulent flows

open access: yes, 2010
We present three-dimensional numerical simulations (DNS) of the Kida vortex flow, a prototypical turbulent flow, using a novel high-order lattice Boltzmann model.

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

APPLICATION OF ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORKS (ANN) AS MULTIPLE DEGRADATION CLASSIFIERS IN THERMAL AND FLOW DIAGNOSTICS

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2005
Application of a neural network of the classifier type for diagnostic purposes is presented. The described ANN solves the task of recognizing causes of degradation of power units’ thermal cycle components.

Measurement of LDL-C after treatment with the CETP inhibitor anacetrapib[S]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2013
Estimation of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) using the Friedewald (FR) formula is often inaccurate when triglycerides are elevated or VLDL particle composition is altered.

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

Direct method-based statistical limit analysis of wc-co composites [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, a direct method-based prediction of load-bearing capacity of nonperiodic WC-Co composites is presented. The main goal is to generalize the methodology of limit analysis on periodic heterogeneous media to materials with random ...

Restricted Dispersal in the Late Successional Forest Tree Species Nothofagus Pumilio: Consequences Under Global Change

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Plants rely on gamete dispersal to ensure the inheritance of their genes. Gene flow, mediated by pollen and seed dispersal, also fosters species' cohesion across space, facilitates population migration, and influences local adaptation. Nothofagus pumilio

Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
