Fruit colour has long fascinated scientists and is widely considered an evolutionary adaptation to attract both avian and mammalian frugivores. While fleshy fruits play a key role in plant–animal interactions by promoting seed dispersal, the functional significance of colour variation, particularly multicoloured displays during ripening, remains poorly

Evaluation of bond strength of one step and two steps self-etch adhesive agents with two different pulp-capping materials [PDF]
Primary purpose of restorative dentistry is to preserve pulp vitality. Besides calcium hydroxide, the application of calcium silicate cements as a material for direct pulp capping has become used recently.

A Sustainable Approach to Ink Colorant Removal Using Modified Cellulose From Wastepaper
Schematic illustration of converting waste paper into cellulose microfibers, fabrication of cellulose‐based hydrogel, and its application for ink removal. ABSTRACT This study reports the fabrication of cellulose‐based hydrogels for ink pigment removal using hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) and cellulose fibers (CF) recovered from office wastepaper ...

The Effect of Calcium Hydroxide on Fibroblast Cells Viability [PDF]
Calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2] is widely used as medicament in dental pulp and root canal therapy. Previous studies demonstrate the ability of calcium hydroxide to induce necrosis in dental pulp tissue.

Dwarfing citrus rootstocks restrict flush shoot growth on the scion, thereby reducing Asian citrus psyllid infestation, dispersal, and huanglongbing (HLB) progression. These findings support the use of dwarfing rootstocks as an effective cultural strategy in integrated HLB management for citrus orchards.

Direct pulp capping with dentinal adhesives
Direct pulp capping (DPC) is a procedure where exposed pulp tissue is covered with material in order to preserve its vitality. Traditionally calcium hydroxide is used as a material for this procedure. In a recent time it was suggested to use dentinal adhesives as a material for direct pulp capping.

Impact of Packaging and Recycling Systems on Material Recirculation: A Stage‐Decomposition Model
A system‐level view emerges from decomposing recycling into four stages (participation, collection, sorting and process yield), diagnosing constraints and targeting interventions. Cumulative equivalent uses (CEUs) quantify long‐term retention, revealing marginal improvements at high baselines generate disproportionately larger gains than low‐baseline ...
