Performance of the Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum Underwater Acoustic Communication System with Differential Detection in Strong Multipath Propagation Conditions

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics
The underwater acoustic communication (UAC) operating in very shallow-water should ensure reliable transmission in conditions of strong multipath propagation, significantly disturbing the received signal. One of the techniques to achieve this goal is the

Extracellular vesicle proteomics uncovers energy metabolism, complement system, and endoplasmic reticulum stress response dysregulation postexercise in males with myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome

open access: yesClinical and Translational Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2025.
EVs were isolated from plasma of ME/CFS patients and healthy controls at baseline, and 15 min and 24 h postexercise. Untargeted proteomics revealed dysregulation in energy metabolism, the complement system, and the endoplasmic reticulum stress response. Changes in EV protein levels postexercise are associated with post‐exertional malaise.

Artificial intelligence in soil science

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Soil Science, Volume 76, Issue 2, March–April 2025.
ABSTRACT Few would disagree that artificial intelligence (AI) holds potential for advancing knowledge and innovation. Over the past decades, substantial research has been devoted to the development and application of AI in soil science. While most of today's AI applications in soil science are related to machine learning (ML), AI also encompasses other

Research on Wireless Sensor Adaptive Networking for Power Monitoring Based on Ultra Wide Band

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
A new network architecture is proposed to address the issue of limited sensor energy and computing power, which utilizes routing nodes to collect sensor data and network the routing nodes. However, the current mature wireless communication technology and networking protocols cannot meet the high reliability and flexibility transmission requirements of ...

Radio Frequency Fingerprinting for WiFi Authentication Based on Detrended Fluctuation Analysis

open access: yesIET Information Security, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Traditional physical‐layer authentication (PLA) approaches primarily rely on a limited set of hardware features, which restricts their robustness and accuracy in dynamic wireless environments. This paper proposes a novel PLA enhancement framework based on nonlinear signal analysis, introducing detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA) as a distinctive ...

Antisaturation Carrier Tracking Technique for Ground‐Based Positioning Systems

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar &Navigation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Ground‐based positioning systems (GBPS) can offer high‐precision positioning in GNSS‐denied environments using carrier phase measurements but suffer from receiver front‐end saturation when processing strong signals from nearby base stations, limiting its usable positioning range. This paper proposes an antisaturation carrier tracking technique based on
