Linguistics in the Netherlands, 2006 The part between quotation marks is called the quote, the rest is the reporting clause. From (1) it is clear that quotes can be sentence-initial, discontinuous, or sentence-final. One of my conclusions will be that the quote-final construction (1c) is fundamentally different from the other two.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
