A direct method for frequency stability assessment of power systems
APSCOM 2000 - 5th International Conference on Advances in Power System Control, Operation and Management, 2000A direct method for frequency stability assessment of power systems is proposed in this paper, which is based on the latest Jacobian matrix of the Newton-Raphson load flow calculation. The method can directly calculate the final system frequency after the last switching without step-by-step integral, and the system frequency stability can be determined.

Critical Energy for Direct Transient Stability Assessment of a Multimachine Power System
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1984This paper describes a criterion for determining the critical energy used in direct transient stability assessment of a multimachine power system using the transient energy function method. This criterion provides a method by which the controlling unstable equilibrium point (u.e.p.), for the disturbance under investigation, is identified.

IEEE Power Engineering Review, 2002
In this paper, new energy functions that incorporate the action of controllable series devices (CSDs) are presented. They make it possible for the direct method to acquire the critical clearing time (CCT) of a single machine-infinite bus (SMIB) power system and the certain series flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) devices directly.

AbstractTwenty‐four pure fragrance ingredients of concern as potential skin sensitizers were previously subjected to degradation studies and evaluated using the high throughput with dansyl cysteamine (HTS‐DCYA) method. The experimental results showed that two‐thirds of the 24 fragrance ingredients underwent chemical degradation.

Comparison between fast direct methods for transient stability assessment
2012 IEEE Electrical Power and Energy Conference, 2012Direct methods were developed to reduce computation time of transient stability assessment. Each method has its advantage and its own algorithm, which raises some differences between them. A new method was developed for providing the mathematical proof for the RAte of Change of Kinetic Energy (RACKE) method, yet become another direct method to compete ...

A simple direct method for fast transient stability assessment of large power systems
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 1988A method for online transient stability assessment of large power systems is proposed. It consists of: replacing the multimachine system by a two-machine dynamic equivalent, further amenable to a one-machine-infinite-bus system; reducing the stability problem to a sole algebraic equation, devised from the equal area criterion, or equivalently from the ...

The Israeli parliamentary system has recently undergone radical structural changes due to the introduction of direct election of the Prime Minister. This paper sets out, first, to describe briefly the reform as a consequence of particular political developments of the Israeli system.
