IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2001This letter presents a simple duty-cycle control scheme for the direct torque control of an induction motor. The scheme reduces torque ripple, controls the average output torque, and reduces the variation in switching frequency. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is demonstrated through experimental results.
