Performance analysis of Direct Torque Control (DTC) for synchronous machine permanent magnet (PMSM)

2010 IEEE 16th International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME), 2010
The Direct Torque Control is a technique increasingly used for the ordering of the invertors and synchronous machine. This system can be regarded as a hybrid dynamic system whose continuous component is the permanent magnet synchronous machine and the discrete component, the inverter of tension. In this article, we propose a modeling of this whole by a

A hybrid system based approach to Direct Torque Control (DTC) of induction motors

18th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, MED'10, 2010
In this paper, we study the Direct Torque Control (DTC) of an Induction Motor coupled to an Inverter (Inv-IM). DTC permits to control directly the stator flux and the torque by selecting the appropriate inverter state. DTC has been introduced because it presents several advantages in comparison to other techniques such as voltage/frequency control ...

Reliable Direct Torque Control with Flux Vector Modulation (DTC-FVM) for AC Motors

2007 IEEE International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electric Machines, Power Electronics and Drives, 2007
In this paper a simple method for electric motor control is presented -Direct Torque Control with Flux Vector Modulation (DTC -FVM). The DTC -FVM can be applied for both induction and synchronous machine. This method is based on stator flux vector modulation. Required torque is obtained by control an angle between stator and rotor flux.

A novel Direct Torque Control (DTC) method for dual three phase induction motors

2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2006
This paper introduces direct torque control (DTC) of dual three phase induction machines (DTPIM). In this paper the DTPIM has two, three phase windings spatially shifted by gamma electrical degree that is 30deg or 60deg. DTPIM drive has 64 inverter switching states which provide higher possibility in selecting space voltage vectors than three phase ...

Model predictive control (MPC) based direct torque control (DTC) of permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs)

2013 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2013
In this paper, a two-loop control scheme is presented for the direct torque control (DTC) of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The contribution of this paper is twofold. The Drst is to propose an inner-loop model predictive controller (MPC) with the stability analysis.

Direct Torque Control (DTC) and three phase induction motor simulation in MATLAB/Simulink

i-manager’s Journal on Instrumentation and Control Engineering, 2023
Direct Torque Control (DTC) is considered one of the most effective methods for the decoupled control of electromagnetic torque and speed in an induction motor. In DTC, torque is directly regulated by the torque angle, defined as the difference between the stator flux angle and the rotor flux angle.

A novel direct torque control (DTC) for six-phase induction motors with common neutrals

2008 International Symposium on Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion, 2008
This paper introduces direct torque control (DTC) for six-phase induction motors (SPIM) with common neutrals. The machine has six phase windings spatially shifted by 60 electrical degrees and connected to a single neutral. SPIM drive has 64 inverter switching stages which provide higher possibility in selecting space voltage vectors than three phase ...

A Direct Torque Control (DTC) method for dual three-phase induction motors using ANFIS

2008 40th North American Power Symposium, 2008
In this paper, an adaptive neural fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is employed for the control of a PWM based direct torque control (DTC), driving a dual three-phase induction machine (DTPIM). DTPIM has two sets of three-phase windings spatially phase shifted by gamma (=60deg in this research) electrical degrees.

Comparative analysis of direct torque control and DTC based on sliding mode control for PMSM drive

2017 29th Chinese Control And Decision Conference (CCDC), 2017
This paper firstly introduces the mathematical equations of PMSM (permanent magnet synchronous motor), an overview of direct torque control (DTC) and a DTC based on sliding mode control for PMSM, and then builds PMSM control system simulation models with above two methods in MATLAB /Simulink environment.
