No‐search algorithm for direction of arrival estimation [PDF]
Direction of arrival estimation (DOA) is an important problem in ionospheric research and electromagnetics as well as many other fields. When superresolution techniques are used, a computationally expensive search should be performed in general. In this paper, a no‐search algorithm is presented.

Robust prior-based Direction of Arrival estimation
In certain Direction of Arrival (DOA) scenarios some of the sources are approximately known a priori. It is then desirable to be able to exploit this prior knowledge when estimating the DOAs of the unknown sources. In this paper we modify an estimator utilizing exact angular prior knowledge of some sources such that the estimator is able to exploit ...

A Single-Site Vehicle Positioning Method in the Rectangular Tunnel Environment
Due to the satellite signals are blocked, it is difficult to obtain the vehicle position in the tunnels. We propose a single-site vehicle localization scheme for the rectangular tunnel environment, where most satellite-based positioning methods can not ...

Research of underground positioning algorithm based on DOA and TDOA
In view of problems that current underground positioning system is sensitive to environmental change and has low positioning accuracy, the paper introduced an underground positioning algorithm based on DOA and TDOA. The algorithm takes advantages of high

A Two-Stage Method for Short-Wave Target Localization Using DOA and TDOA Measurements
The ionosphere can make the short-wave source localization problem further non-linear, leading to a complicated solution process. This paper proposed a coordinated positioning algorithm based on the ionospheric virtual height (IVH) model to jointly ...

Direction-of-Arrival Estimation Based on Sparse Recovery with Second-Order Statistics [PDF]
Traditional direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation techniques perform Nyquist-rate sampling of the received signals and as a result they require high storage.

Enhanced CACIS configuration for direction of arrival estimation
In this letter, an enhanced coprime array with compressed inter‐element spacing is designed for direction of arrival estimation. First, we analyse and conclude that the 0th sensor of coprime array with compressed inter‐element spacing is redundant for ...

Radar Antenna Selection for Direction-of-Arrival Estimations [PDF]
Multi-antenna radars exhibit positively correlated detection performance with the number of elements utilized. The feasibility of refining antenna arrays to reduce cost of operation with only marginal loss of performance has attracted significant attention as utilizing a large number of elements may be prohibitively costly in terms of computation and ...
