A fast method for direction-of-arrival estimation

open access: yesSadhana, 1999
In many eigenvalue-eigenvector-based direction-of-arrival estimation algorithms, one finds orthogonal basis vectors for the noise subspace. We propose a circulant basis for the noise space which can be calculated more efficiently than an orthogonal basis.

An Efficient Algorithm for Direction Finding against Unknown Mutual Coupling

open access: yesSensors, 2014
In this paper, an algorithm of direction finding is proposed in the presence of unknown mutual coupling. The preliminary direction of arrival (DOA) is estimated using the whole array for high resolution.

Centaurus A as a source of extragalactic cosmic rays with arrival energies well beyond the GZK cutoff

open access: yes, 1996
The ultra--high energy cosmic rays recently detected by several air shower experiments could have an extragalactic origin. In this case, the nearest active galaxy Centaurus A might be the source of the most energetic particles ever detected on Earth.

Maximum likelihood time-of-arrival estimation using antenna arrays: Application to global navigation satellite systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
The problem of estimating the time-of-arrival (TOA) of a known signal in the presence of interferences and multipath propagation is addressed. This problem, is essential in high precision receivers of the Global Navigation Satellite Systems.

Improved K-Means Algorithm for Nearby Target Localization

open access: yesIEEE Access
In a multi-source localization system, direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of angles always suffers from errors due to noise interference, sensor position inaccuracies, and other factors.

Multiple source direction of arrival estimation using subspace pseudointensity vectors

open access: yes, 2018
The recently proposed subspace pseudointensity method for direction of arrival estimation is applied in the context of Tasks 1 and 2 of the LOCATA Challenge using the Eigenmike recordings.

Habitat Monitoring using wireless sensor networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The deployment of wireless sensor networks in habitat monitoring is gaining importance as the manpower cost is increasing day by day. The positions of the cattle is detected and if detections at successive time intervals indicate that the position of the
