Direction of arrival estimation for nanoscale sensor networks [PDF]
Nanoscale wireless sensor networks (NWSNs) could be within reach soon using graphene-based antennas, which resonate in 0.1-10 terahertz band. To conserve the limited energy available at nanoscale, it is expected that NWSNs will communicate using extremely short pulses on the order of femtoseconds.

Quantum approach to direction of arrival estimation
The article analyses methods for determining the direction of arrival (DOA) of radio signals, particularly the MUSIC and ESPRIT algorithms. It is shown that the complexity of traditional approaches grows cubically with the number of antennas, which ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Arrival Directions of the Most Energetic Cosmic Rays [PDF]
In this Letter we examine the arrival directions of the most energetic cosmic rays (E > 2 * 10^19 eV) detected by several air shower experiments. We find that data taken by different air shower arrays show positive correlations, indicating a non--uniform arrival direction distribution.

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

Controlling AoA Estimation Errors in Rician Fading via Measurement Quality Classification
Angle of Arrival (AoA) estimation plays a crucial role in modern positioning systems but is often affected by errors in multipath channels. Existing methods typically lack a direct mechanism to assess the quality of the estimates, while full channel ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.
