Abstract India often faces challenges in monitoring atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) through satellite observations due to persistent cloud cover, especially during the monsoon season. This limitation affects the continuous tracking of carbon and hinders accurate assessments of carbon‐climate interactions.

Acoustic multi target tracking using direction-of-arrival batches [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a particle filter acoustic direction-of-arrival (DOA) tracker to track multiple maneuvering targets using a state space approach. The particle filter determines its state vector using a batch of DOA estimates.

A novel compressive sensing- (CS-) based direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithm is proposed to solve the performance degradation of the CS-based DOA estimation in the presence of sensing matrix mismatching. Firstly, a DOA sparse sensing model is

Eruption Source Parameters in Volcanic Plume Modeling: Advances, Challenges, and Future Directions
Abstract Accurately predicting the atmospheric dispersion of volcanic ash and gases is crucial for both scientific understanding and hazard mitigation. Estimating Eruption Source Parameters (ESP), such as mass eruption rate, plume height, duration, and particle size distribution and properties, remains challenging due to the complex nature of volcanic ...

Evaluating TEMPO Formaldehyde Retrievals With Co‐Located Ground‐Based FTIR and Pandora Observations
Abstract Formaldehyde (HCHO) is an important proxy for volatile organic compounds and photochemical activity, with significant implications for air quality and atmospheric chemistry. The recently launched geostationary satellite instrument Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) provides the first‐ever hourly observations of HCHO and ...

Neural Network–Assisted Metasurface Retroreflector With Wide‐Angle Adaptivity
This work proposes a wide‐angle, multi‐polarization, self‐sensing, and self‐adaptive intelligent metasurface retroreflector, with a planar profile and ultrathin thickness. By integrating a pre‐trained artificial neural network (ANN), the metasurface retroreflector can recognize the incident angle and promptly adapt to changes in the incoming wave.

Joint Estimation of DOA and TDOA of Multiple Reflections by Matrix Pencil in Mobile Communications
This paper presents the joint estimation of the direction of arrival (DOA) and the time difference of arrival (TDOA) for multipath signals, which is the central issue for mobile communications.

Cerebral Hemodynamic Changes During Cardiac Surgery: A Feasibility MR Study in Piglets
Congenital heart disease surgery in infants requires cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), which increases the risk of brain injury. Conventional heart‐lung machines (HLMs) cannot operate inside MRI scanners, limiting real‐time assessment of cerebral changes. We developed an MR‐conditional HLM and tested it in piglets during CPB.

Fusion-Based Direction-of-Arrival (DoA) Estimation with Spatial Diversity in Multi-Cluster Systems
The Direction-of-Arrival (DoA) estimation method is widely investigated under distinct channel impairments such as multipath fading, oscillator phase noise, and the correlation effect with different receiving array structures.
