Improving application performance with biased distributions of quantum states
We consider the properties of a specific distribution of mixed quantum states of arbitrary dimension that can be biased towards a specific mean purity. In particular, we analyze mixtures of Haar-random pure states with Dirichlet-distributed coefficients.

Two-parameter Poisson-Dirichlet measures and reversible exchangeable fragmentation-coalescence processes [PDF]
We show that for $0-\alpha$, the Poisson-Dirichlet distribution with parameter $(\alpha, \theta)$ is the unique reversible distribution of a rather natural fragmentation-coalescence process.

The spherical-Dirichlet distribution [PDF]
AbstractToday, data mining and gene expressions are at the forefront of modern data analysis. Here we introduce a novel probability distribution that is applicable in these fields. This paper develops the proposed spherical-Dirichlet distribution designed to fit vectors located at the positive orthant of the hypersphere, as it is often the case for ...

Implications of Spectral Interlacing for Quantum Graphs
Quantum graphs are ideally suited to studying the spectral statistics of chaotic systems. Depending on the boundary conditions at the vertices, there are Neumann and Dirichlet graphs.

DIRICHLET-LAURICELLA TYPE D DISTRIBUTION [PDF]
In this article, we define and study the Dirichlet-Lauricella type D distribution. This distribution is a generalization of the Dirichlet type 1 distri- bution.

A method for Bayesian regression modelling of composition data [PDF]
Many scientific and industrial processes produce data that is best analysed as vectors of relative values, often called compositions or proportions. The Dirichlet distribution is a natural distribution to use for composition or proportion data.
